24th of July

The 24th turned out to be such a fun day. I opted for air conditioning while watching the parade, so the boys and I stayed home while Matt golfed. That night we went to Clark and Lisa's and began the evening with good burgers and other yummy eats, then made S'mores in their fire pit.



We then had our own fireworks show in the street, with occasional big ones right above us, compliments of the neighbors.




After that, we watched Bedtime Stories from a projector in the backyard. We did get sprinkled on, so we moved inside for the last half.

We didn't let the rain spoil our campout though. We slept in tents in the backyard and fell asleep to the rain falling on our tents. We woke up to a yummy breakfast. Well, most of us did. As soon as Matt had his waffle cooked perfectly and his plate full, he got called on a SWAT opertaion, and had to leave his plate. That's ok, he always loves a good SWAT op so it was probably worth it. All in all, such a fun night/morning. Thanks Clark and Lisa!
