Tonight as I was putting sheets on my bed Carter said, "Mom, I really like your bed. I want to be one when I grow up." Just to clarify, I asked, "You want to be a bed when you grow up?" He nodded and added, "Yeah, just like this one."
Hhmmmmm.... Apparently he doesn't quite get that whole concept yet. He does, however, get the power of prayer. The other night when I wasn't around for bedtime, Matt tried to get away with skipping the tooth brushing step in the bedtime routine. He suggested not doing that and just saying prayers. Carter sulked a little, then volunteered to say the prayer:
"Heavenly Father, please bless that we can brush our teeth. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
And with that, he stood up and went to get his toothbrush.
