Max's baptism was something I've thought about for a long time. Frankly, there have been reservations as to whether or not we should baptize him right when he turned 8. Mentally, he was just so far behind what a typical 8 year old knows about baptism and our church. Case in point: while waiting in the lobby for his baptism interview with the bishop, the 1st counselor asked Max if he was ready to be baptized. Max smiled, said "yep", then pointed to a picture on the wall of the apostles and said, "My dad's gonna catch those bad guys!"
Sigh.
But after a lot of thought, prayer and revelation... we had him baptized on Dec 17th, 2011. It was amazing. Max was so happy! The confirmation given by Matt was incredible and something that I will never forget.

Max was SO happy that his buddy Ryder and his teacher Ms. Mann came to his baptism. I love this picture of Ryder!

I LOVE this picture of Max and Mason!
Max still talks about his baptism and shows us how his dad dipped him in the water. He also shows us what he was like when he shivered after getting out of the water. I have no doubt that Max was to be baptized this day and that even though Max most likely doesn't need to be wash away of any sin, it was important for Max to receive this special ordinance. So proud of you Max!
