Back to School 2011

2nd Grade for Max

Max was so excited to start school again. Unfortunately, he's in a different class as his "best buddy" Ryder, but they do get to ride the bus together and even spend a few hours each week in the same classroom. The night before school started Max was sitting too close as Carter played Wii and got smacked in the cheek by the remote as Carter swung it back. So Max got to go to the first week of 2nd grade with a nice Shiner, which was made worse a few days later as he fell on the same spot while walking at school. :( Poor guy. He is loving school though!

Carter starts 1st Grade

I was surprisingly panicked for Carter to start first grade! Sending him to kindergarten was a piece of cake compared to 1st! The whole all day thing, eating his own lunch and being more independant made me realize how much he needed to do on his own without me looking over his shoulder and I'll admit... I was nervous. But he's done AWESOME and I'm so proud of him! I LOVE hearing every detail about his day (which he tells me about much more than last year). I may be biased, but he is one smart, amazing kid! :)
