Growing up, my dad always had a very profound piece of advice for my siblings and I....Don't put any beans in your nose. It made us smile, but we also knew the meaning behind it and that he meant it. Don't do anything stupid; use your head and do the right thing. I've always liked that advice and figured I'd use it on my own kids. But after today, I might have to alter the wording a bit.
ME: Hey bud! How was school today?
CARTER: Good! But, I have a rock in my ear.
ME: You have a ROCK in your ear?
CARTER: Yeah.
ME: How did you get a rock in your ear?
CARTER: I put it in there because I wanted to show Marshall that I could put a rock in my ear and it wouldn't get stuck. But it got stuck.
ME: ????????And it's still in there?????
CARTER: Yep.
I looked in the ear he was pointing to and sure enough, there was a pebble shoved deep in his ear canal. Seriously?! I NEVER imagined I would have to tell my son to not put any rocks in his ear and that I'd be speaking in a literal sense!
Luckily, I was able to reach it with some tweezers. Let's just hope I didn't damage anything while trying to play surgeon.

Reminds me of that game Operation :)
HA. that kid is a hoot.
Oh Carter - He constantly makes me laugh. I try to write down all the funny things he says when we're with him, but can't keep track of all them.
Love my boy!
LOL! I love that Nick...I mean...Carter :)
Carter! I wish that I could have heard Carter and Marshall's entire conversation. Just wait until he starts putting things in other orifices.
Oh man. I am SO not ready for those types of things!
