This past week has been so fun. We kicked off the Memorial Day weekend by camping close to home. By that, I mean our friends backyard. The Johnson's, Anderson's, Turner's and our family set up camp in Tonii and Pauls backyard and called it good. This is the way to go if you've got young kids. (the 4 week old baby and mom slept inside).
Nate and Kristin made a yummy chicken dinner in the dutch oven. (we even had a little fire)
The kids had an on site playground
Max watched out for bears or other hazards
And in the morning, Tonii made fabulously delicious french toast and an egg casserole.
The only setback was the sprinklers coming on at 5 am, but we got a good laugh and didn't get wet. Later that day we took the kids to Night at the Museum, then finished the night off with a good game of settlers. Sunday night we had a family party at my aunts house and we got to see family that we haven't seen in awhile. Good times.
Monday Nate took me and the boys and Paul and his girls to the Lake. So much fun!!
The fun continued through the week. Unfortunately, Matt hurt his back at our campout. The good thing was, he couldn't go to work, so we got to hang out all week. Our pool opened so we spent a lot of time relaxing there. Then Friday night we went to the Herriman rodeo with Karli and Travis.
Carter was fascinated with everything and couldn't take his eyes off the arena.
All in all, a good week! I'm so grateful for family and good friends!
