Disneyland 2008

Last week we took the boys to Disneyland with Matt's family and it was a blast. It was so amazing to watch the boys' reaction as they experienced everything for the first time. Carter was in heaven and only cried when he was told he couldn't go on the big rides because he was 2" too short. He WAS tall enough for the Matahorn, so we rode that a few times to make him feel like a big boy, and even took Max on it once.
Max was really overwhelmed at first. There was way too much stimulation for him, but eventually became used to everything and even like a few of the rides. On some of the rides, we did hear at the end of the ride, "That was so fun to stop!" The best moment for me though, was watching Max watch the Playhouse Disney Live on stage. I don't believe I've ever seen him so happy. He laughed and clapped and cheered and sang all the songs with a big grin on his face. It was priceless.
Watching Carter at the beach was hilarious. He literally rolled around in the sand nonstop. Even after washing his swim shirt, there is still sand embedded in the fabric.
We also took them to Sea World which was so fun. I could watch the dolphins/whales/Sea lions all day. They intrigue me! Overall a great family vacation! If you ask Max what his favorite ride was, he'll tell you the train. Translation: the tram that took us from the parking garage to the park. Oh, and Carter "measured" me yesterday, then informed me that I was too tall to ride his rides.
