Max's #1 Finger

For the past year, Max has been telling us he wishes he had a #1 finger. At first I didn't know what he was talking about, then he demonstrated what he wanted to do with it by making an "L" with his thumb and pointer finger and waving it back and forth. I finally realized he wanted a foam finger. Whenever we went to any sports game he would remind us that he wanted one so he could cheer with it. Then he began asking for one as he "cheered on" someone playing the Wii, then it just became a completely random request as he did every day activities. I finally decided stop putting it off and I tracked one down at Hobby Lobby. His face was priceless when I presented it to him. He was so excited, then for a brief moment he lost the smile and said, "But mom, it needs a #1 on it!" I told him we could paint it on and it made him happy. This picture is of him cheering his cousin Nick on at the Brighton Lacrosse game. (I really hope it didn't embarrass poor Nick...after all, it was his first game playing on the Varsity team as a freshman and in the masses of blue and orange colors on the sidlines was a huge red foam finger being waved around frantically while the kid holding it screamed Whoo Nick!! every 5 seconds, even when he wasn't on the field. I thought it was adorable, but you never know with High school kids). Max's random requests just make me happy. Here are a few more things he's been asking for lately:

- His Driver's License
- A free laptop
- A Smartphone from AT&T
- A car that he can drive when he's 16 so he can follow me around in my car
- "The huge trophy that he won" when he rode the car ride at DisneyLand back in Dec. (Grandma & Grandpa actually bought him a trophy last week and he was SO excited and wanted to take it home and put it in his "trophy case", ie his shelf)
- A noisemaker
- A helicopter so he can be "the captain"
- He'd like our friend Nate to get a boat that matches OUR car
- Some treat that "makes mouths happy" but I have yet to figure out what he's talking about.

And last but not least, he really wants to take his brother Carter to AFV so he can introduce him to Tom Bergeron.

Gosh I love him.

I mean... A LOT. :)

I loved this post. Get that boy some Twizzlers STAT. I laughed out loud picturing him following you around in his car like you were the one needing to be followed.

That light was totally necessary.

Too Funny. What a cute boy you have. I love that he wants a car so he can follow you around in your car. Ha.
