For school Carter's class is making personalized shirts with their own drawings of themselves on the front. His teacher sent home a 3x5 index card to draw his picture on. When I gave it to him and told him what he needed to do he held it up and asked, "Portrait? (then turned the card) Or Landscape?"
Since when did they start teaching Kindergartener's that?! I don't think I knew that until after high school. He also corrected my sister in-law last week when she mistakenly told him that Abraham Lincoln was the 2nd President of the US. "No, he was the 16th".
I must admit, the kid is smart. Although, the 5 year old in him definitely exists. Case in point:
Carter: "Mom, wouldn't it be crazy if someone could pick their nose with their pinky toe?"
Me: "It would. But you know what? I'm sure there are people in the world that can do that."
Carter: (completely serious) "Yeah, TALENTED people......... (look of amazment) Now THAT'S talent!"
Here's hoping he aims a little higher...
